Dameka Williams

Chief Research and Information Officer

Dameka has over 3 decades of quantitative and qualitative clinical, social science, and market research experience. She leads the operations of all SMG Insights brands, including BioInformatics, Science Advisory Board (SAB), IMV Medical Information (IMV), Kalorama Information, Strategic Directions International (SDi), and Instrument Business Outlook (IBO). Dameka is based in southern Maryland and spends her free time participating in book clubs and mentoring young women. 

Danyi Wu, Ph.D.,

Manager, Scientific Advisory Services

Danyi leads a team of Project Managers/Science Advisors who manage quantitative and qualitative life science market research studies. A molecular biologist by training, Danyi has over 8 years of experience in market research, leading studies spanning market sizing, competitive benchmarking, pricing, product development, and brand assessment. She holds a BS in Biological Engineering from MIT and a PhD in Biological Sciences from Columbia University. Danyi is based in northern Virginia and enjoys hiking and solving jigsaw puzzles in her free time.

Andrea Smiley

Senior Project Manager, Scientific Advisory Services

Andrea has over 12 years of quantitative and qualitative marketing research experience spanning the life sciences and CPG industries. She leads complex branding, pricing, and voice of customer projects for clients in the life sciences and diagnostic instrumentation categories, providing them with valuable insights. Ms. Smiley holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Miami University and a master’s degree in molecular genetics and biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati. Andrea is based in the Greater Cincinnati area, where she enjoys playing her saxophone in several area bands and supporting programs that aid young musicians.

Aaron Brown, MS, MBA

Senior Manager, Market Intelligence

Aaron combines scientific training with deep market research experience, drawing on a background in biological sciences and years supporting research-driven insights for the life science industry. He translates complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, actionable intelligence for clients to deliver high-quality, data-informed guidance. Aaron lives in northern Illinois . He and his wife enjoy spending time outdoors and have hiked trails in 22 different states.

Elizabeth Hood

Manager, Quantitative Research

Elizabeth is an experienced quantitative researcher of nearly 15 years. At SMG, she leads a team of data analysts and supports custom market research and insights initiatives across brands, including managing cross-team workflows, methodology and SOP development, and championing the adoption of dashboard and other automation tools. Elizabeth is based in Northern Virginia and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Global Affairs as well as an undergraduate certification in Information Technology. She enjoys making complex research approachable and helping teams work smarter.

Cindy Su has more than 8 years of market research experience with a focus on quantitative methods within the life sciences and healthcare industries. At Science and Medicine Group, she supports custom research initiatives, contributing to survey design, data analysis, and research delivery. Her expertise includes survey programming on Forsta Survey platform, building automation research frameworks, and cross functional communication. Cindy is based in Northborough, Massachusetts and holds a master’s degree in marketing and an MBA.

Sarah has over a decade of biomedical technology research experience spanning microbiology, virology, and neurobiology. She supports Science and Medicine Group as a Science Advisor, conducting market analysis and generating data‑driven insights that guide client strategy. In her role, she leads client communication, survey design, and successful execution of research objectives. Sarah is based in the Denver metropolitan area and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and climbing.

She is based outside of Washington DC in Maryland.

Nicole is based in New York and holds a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College.

Morgan leads data collection across BioInformatics, Science Advisory Board (SAB), and IMV Medical Information (IMV). She specializes in developing and delivering sample plans that yield actionable insights. Morgan holds a BS in Biology and lives in Aiken SC, where she enjoys reading, gardening, and crafting.

Aylin Bissonett

Senior Panel Recruitment and Retention Specialist

Aylin Bissonett is a Senior Panel Recruitment and Retention Specialist for the Science Advisory Board, where she leads initiatives to grow, engage, and support a diverse global community of scientific panel members. In her role, she oversees panel updates, targeted recruiting, and member engagement strategies that strengthen sample quality and overall research impact. Aylin holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Translational Management, giving her a strong foundation in how scientific products move through the development pipeline. Based in Houston, she enjoys playing beach volleyball on warm days and exploring new coffee shops around the city.
