IMV’s 2026 CT Market Outlook Report gives medical imaging manufacturers, suppliers, and strategy teams a current, quantified view of how U.S. hospitals and outpatient imaging centers operate, staff, and invest in CT.
The report is built on an IMV-hosted online survey of 350 qualified radiology administrators and managers, technologists, and radiologists who are involved in operating CT departments and in equipment purchase decisions. It reports department priorities, procedure volume and mix, the installed base of scanners, equipment purchase plans through 2028, contrast media and power injector utilization, industry trends including AI adoption, and site operations characteristics, with 2026 results compared to prior IMV studies to show where the market is heading.
The report includes 245 slides with over 200 graphs and exhibits in PowerPoint format, and it will allow you to:
- Prioritize accounts with purchase intent and known budgets, and defend share against competitive displacement.
- Size demand by site type and segment, and focus commercial effort where CT purchase activity is concentrated.
- Align product roadmaps and R&D to the priorities and AI use cases that CT departments report they are adopting.
- Benchmark installed base market share by manufacturer, and track how it has shifted across IMV study years.
Findings can be viewed at the total-market level and by facility type, so teams can move from a top-level read to the specific segments that shape their plans.
